Assembly of Yahuah · Benevolence

Bearing One Another’s Burdens

When you long to help a brother or sister in need, here is the wisest, most loving way to do it — together, as one family.

Again and again, we are moved by the generosity of this family. When word spreads that someone may be struggling, the first response is almost always the same: “How can I help?”

That heart is a gift from Yahuah, and we never want to quench it. We only want to steward it well — in a way that truly blesses the one in need, protects everyone involved, and keeps our care flowing as one united body.

Why we give through the Assembly

You may wonder why we ask that help flow through the Assembly rather than person to person. It comes down to love expressed with wisdom.

Dignity & privacy

Both the giver and the one receiving help can remain completely anonymous. No one is exposed, and no one is left feeling indebted.

Faithful stewardship

The elders can ensure a real need is met in the right measure, at the right time — so that every gift does the most good.

Wisdom & care

Not every need is as it first appears, and some quiet needs go unspoken. Bringing these to the elders lets us respond with discernment and sensitivity.

Unity of the body

Care flows through the whole Assembly, so no one carries a burden alone and the entire family shares in the blessing of giving.

This is not a modern idea — it is the very pattern of the early Assembly. Those who believed shared everything they had; there was not a needy person among them. Gifts were laid before the leaders, and distribution was made to each one as they had need.

— Ma’asei / Acts 4:32–35

The Scriptures call us to open our hand freely to a brother in need (Debarim / Deuteronomy 15:7–8), to do good to all, and especially to the household of the faith (Galatians 6:10). And each one is to give as they have purposed in their heart — not grudgingly, for Yahuah loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving through the Assembly simply lets us honor that command together, with order and love.

How it works

  1. Give through the Assembly

Visit our giving page. You can give to the General Fund — which already provides for benevolence needs — or earmark your gift specifically for Benevolence.

  2. Know of a need?

Quietly reach out to the elders and share what you know, in confidence. You never need to name names publicly or handle it alone.

  3. The elders prayerfully review

Every benevolent request is considered with prayer and gentle due diligence, so that help is genuine, appropriate, and handled with discretion.

  4. Help reaches the need

Support is provided with dignity and care — often without anyone ever knowing its source. The one in need is blessed; the one who gave is honored quietly before Yahuah.

If you are the one in need

Please do not hesitate. There is no shame in needing help — the Assembly exists, in part, to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

Reach out to the Assembly in confidence, and we will walk with you. What you share stays between you and those entrusted to care for you.

Ready to give?

Thank you for your generous, big-hearted spirit. Give through the Assembly, and let us steward your kindness in a way that truly blesses those in need.

“Give, and it shall be given to you… for with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”
— Luqas / Luke 6:38
