ABOUT THIS SERIES: Welcome to “Blessings and Curses: A Journey through Deuteronomy 28.” In this series, we delve deeply into this pivotal chapter, studying it verse by verse, weaving in vital cross-references & historical documents. Our quest goes beyond a simple reading; we aim to uncover each layer, precept upon precept. Our journey navigates through key historical events: the Assyrian Manifestation in 722 BCE, Babylonian rule under Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BCE, and the Roman Captivity in 70 AD, bringing to light the connections in Yah’s Word to these momentous events. A central focus will be the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, a subject we will dissect in great detail through the lens of Deuteronomy 28. But we don’t stop at history. We probe into the present: Who inhabits modern Israel? Who are today’s Jews/Yahudim, Israelites, or Hebrews? This enlightening journey is our effort to “present ourselves approved to Yah, rightly dividing the Word of Truth” (2 Timothy 2:15), seeking Yah’s truth which will set us free (John 8:32), always mindful to “Let Yah be True and every man a liar” (Romans 3:4).
